Skin varies in thickness and texture on different parts of the body, depending on its specific function. Skin is composed of two main layers. The Epidermis and the Dermis.

Epidermis
The surface, or top layer of the skin. The Epidermis reflects the condition of the skin and its degree of dryness and oiliness.

Dermis

How do I take care of my skin?

There are 4 Basic Steps to properly take care of your skin.

Cleansing: You need a very good cleanser that will not dry out your skin. I highly recommend that you do not use bar soap on your face. Find something that your skin does not have any problems with and stick to it. I use Jafra Skin Care and have for years and I do not have any problems with the Jafra Cleansers.

Exfoliate: Most people do not exfoliate their skin and this is one of the most important parts of good skin care and should not be over looked. You should exfoliate your skin once or twice weekly to remove the layers of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion and make it look older than what is should. You will notice immediately after you exfoliate just how smooth and soft your face is.

Toner: I use a toner morning and evening as it removes all the remaining traces of oil, makeup and dirt.

Moisturize: Everyone no matter what age or skin type needs to moisturize! Moisturizers seal in moisture into your skin so that it doesn’t get dried out and looking aged.
